Is it a common infection?

What are the main factors influencing the onset of the disease?

- The disease is more severe in younger infants.
- Males have a higher incidence of lower respiratory tract diseases, but also a larger number of men admitted to hospital with the disease, which means that infection is more severe in them.
- Children from poorer socioeconomic classes are more serious infections.
